ANZING
State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Ebersberg
Official blazon
In Gold ein wachsender, rot bewehrter schwarzer Löwe, darüber schräg gekreuzt zwei blaue Lilienstäbe.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 15, 1967.
The arms combine elements from two important noble families in the area. The crossed lily-sceptres are taken from the arms of the Lords of Sunderndorf, who had their estate in Anzig from the 14th until the late 16th century.
The lion is taken from the arms of the Höger family. The merchant Leonhard Höger from Munich bought the local castle in 1652 and the estate remained in the possession of the family until 1802.
