Official blazon

Siebenmal geteilt von Silber über Rot; belegt mit dem grünen Rautenkranz und einem goldenen schräglinken Abtsstab.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 4, 1995.

The arms combine elements referring to the former rulers of the village. The bends are taken from the arms of the Burggraves of Magdeburg, the green bend is taken from the arms of the Duchy of Sachsen-Wittenberg. The crosier refers to the different monasteries that had possessions in the area.
