Official blazon

Kultakentässä sinisen, sakarakoroisen reunuksen ympäröimänä musta, punavaruksinen karhu pystyasennossa, oikeassa kämmenessään iskuun kohotettu sininen miekka.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 9, 1954.

The bear is taken from the arms of the old Satakuna landscape, but without the crown. The bordure refers to the former fortresses in the region.
