Wappen von Schneidlingen

Official blazon

Gespalten von Silber und Rot mit zwei gesenkten Senseneisen in verwechselten Farben.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 24, 1995.

The arms show two scythes, which are canting, Schneiden means cutting. The scythes also refer to the agricultural character of the village. The colours and the division of the shield are derived from the arms of the Diocese of Halberstadt, to which the village historically belonged.
