Additions : 1969 Schirmsheim

Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on ?
The arms are a combination of the lion of the Pfalz and a canting arm. The oldest seals of the city date from the early 15th century and show already the lion and arm. Later the hand held a bunch of grapes as a symbol for the importance of the viticulture in the area, but these were removed in the 19th century.
