WIMMIS
Canton : Bern
Bezirk : Frutigen-Niedersimmental (until 2010 Niedersimmental)
Official blazon
In Rot eine zweitürmige silberne Burg.
Origin/meaning
The arms were devised and officially adopted in 1945. The castle is taken from the arms of the Lords of Weissenburg, and thus are canting (white-castle), and has been used by the city for several centuries. The arms were also used by the district Niedersimmental, of which the town was the capital.
