HAVERSTRAW
State : New York
Origin/meaning
The crest is a sheaf of oats, reflecting the original Dutch name which translates to oat-straw. The chief Gules masoned Argent refers to the village's nickname of Bricktown since at one time it was home to more brickyards than anywhere else in the country.
The wavy base refers to it's location on or near the Hudson River.
I have no information on the other symbols.
