The arms were granted on December 10, 1925 and show in the lower part the arms of Bayern, as the village for a long time was a possession of the Kings of Bayern, who often stayed in the village since Wilhelm V built a summer castle in 1597. In 1626 Maximilian I built the first castle in the village, and Max Emmanuel built in 1684 the Lustheim estate and from 1701 the Schleissheim castle.
