Escudo de Castell de Mur

Official blazon

Escut caironat: de gules, un [llenç de] mur d'or. Per timbre, una corona de baró.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 30, 2001.

Castell de Mur was formed in 1972 from the former municipalities of Guàrdia de Noguera and Mur. The canting arms are the ones of the medieval barony of Mur ("mur" means literally "wall" in Catalan). At the top of the arms there is a baron crown.
