Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 27, 1939.

The upper half shows a horn, derived from the 15^th century seal of Krombach-Ferndorf. The lower half is a canting element (Kreuz=cross) and symbolises also the fact that the municipality consists of four valleys.
