Arms of Pyzdry

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms are based on the old seal of the city, dating from 1312. The seal showed a city wall with the figure of the Duke of Wielkopolska Boleslaw the Pious, handing two strains of green vines. The Duke granted the city rights to Pyzdry.

In the 20th century the arms showed a single tower, which was replaced by the current arms in 1992.
