Origin/meaning
The arms have been officially granted on 30th December 1993.
The sexfoil is a traditional sign on the arms of the village, and a canting element: it's a stylised representation of a fig tree leaf ("figuera" in Catalan). The colours, Argent and Sable, remind the double nature of the land in the municipality, with lime and lignite (the coal mines of Fígols have been an important resource for the village until now).
