Origin/meaning
As common in US episcopal heraldry, the arms show the arms of the diocese impaled with the personal arms of the bishop.
The three fish are taken from a Keane family arms from Ireland (not necessarily the family of the archbishop). The scallop is the symbol of St. James, the baptismal saint of the archbishop.
