Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 7, 1997.
The village is situated between the Ohre river and the Mittellandkanal canal. This is symbolised in the upper and lower part of the arms. Historically there were many water mills in the Ohre, which is symbolised by the water mill wheel.
