Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 27th October 2000.

The horse is the traditional sign of the arms of this agricultural village, and it's the attribute of St. Martin, the local patron saint. The village, developed around the church of Sant Martí in the 13th century, belonged to the kings, and became the centre of a county; that's symbolized by the count's crown at the top of the arms.
