Unter silbernem Schildhaupt, darin eine rote Zange, in Rot ein freischwebender silberner Sparren, begleitet von 3 (2:1) silbernen Ringen

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 20, 1990.

The silver chebron is a cantin element (Winkel=hook, corner), the pliers are the symbol of St. Appollonia, the local patron saint. The silver rings are taken from the arms of the Lord of Landenberg, who owne dthe Wollmerath estate in the municipality. The colours ar ethose of the State of Trier, to which the village historically belonged.
