Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 1951.
The arms were granted in 1951 and show in the lower half a symbol for the railroads. Alvesta is on a major railroad crossing and thus the railroads are of great economic importance for the city. The three bees are a symbol for the industrial activity in the city.
