Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 10, 1975.
The arms are a combination of two bishops of Passau, who played a role in the local history. The chief is taken from the arms of the Counts von Thun, whereas the wings are taken from the arms of Bishop Raymund, Count von Rabatta..
