German In halbgespaltenem und geteiltem Schild oben vorne in drei Reihen dreimal in Gold und Blau geschachtet, in Blau ein steigender siebenmal in Silber und Rot geteilter goldbewehrter Löwe, unten in Silber ein blaues Schwert und ein blauer Steinhammer diagonal gekreuzt.

Origin/meaning

The arms show in the first quarter the arms of the county of Sponheim, and the lion of Rheinhessen, as the area historically belonged to Sponheim and later to Rheinhessen. The sword and hammer are derived from an 18th century court seal.
