Origin/meaning
The arms were designed and granted in 1958.
The arms show a linden branch, taken from the arms of the Lords of Seckendorff, who ruled the village for many centuries as vassals for the Margraves of Brandenburg. The red chief was added to distinguish the arms from those of the family. At the same time the chief symbolises the fact that the village had a court for higher justice for a long time until 1797.
Literature : Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
