In Gold eine silberne Zinnenmauer, belegt mit einer aufsteigenden schwarzen Spitze, in der ein silbernes, golden begrifftes Hunnenschwert erscheint.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 29, 1838 by King Ludwig of Bayern.

The wall is a symbol for the former castle and fortress in Mering. The sword in the lower part is derived from the finding of a Hun's grave in 1808, which contained many swords.
