History: Formed on April 12, 1939.

Surmounting a respresentation in grey of the ruins of Newark Castle two flashes of lightning in saltire Or at the points and in front thereof a torch argent enflamed gules/Or.
Motto: Praesta in officus = Excel in duties.
Origin/meaning
The Castle symbolises the granting of the Freedom of Newark to the Station. The Lightning Flashes symboliess the Wartime Bomber Station role. The present role as a Training Station is symbolised by the Torch. The badge was approved in January 1967.
