RAF STATION SALALAH, ROYAL AIR FORCE

History: Formed 11 November 1943. today its a base of the Royal Air Force of Oman.

In front of a light brown eagle displayed two sheaved khunjars sable hilted argent an tipped Or in saltire.
Motto: Nusoor fee ard sadeeqa = Eagles in a friendly land.

Origin/meaning

The Eagle symbolise the Royal Air Force and the Khunjars the location, beeing taken from the Arms of the Sultanate of Muscat and Oman. the3 Badge was granted in August 1966. Literature: Image from Pinterest.
