Official blason

En campo de gules, una corona real de oro y doce leones rampantes en gules en bordura de plata. Al timbre, corona real cerrada.

Origin/meaning

The coat of arms of Ubeda depicts St. Michael (San Miguel), the patron saint of Ubeda, casting Satan out of paradise. The bordure shows the lions of the Kingdom of Léon. The arms are also part of those of the Mexican city of Tepatitlán de Morelos.
