NO 888 SQUADRON, FAA

History: First formed in 1941 at Royal Naval Air Station Lee-on-Solent as a Fleet Fighter Squadron with Grumman Martlets.

English Blue: over water barry wavy of four white and blue a martlet rising white.

Motto: Sine missione.

Origin/meaning

The Martlet alludes to the Aricraft flown. The Latin Motto translates as "Without quarter". The Badge was approved on 22 October 1942.
