Origin/meaning
The arms show in the first quarter a windmill, as there used to be a windmill in the village. The black cros sin the second quarter refers to the State of Köln, to which the area historically belonged. The sceptres are taken from the seal of Johann von Husener, who lived as a representative of the Emperor in the village in the 15th century.
The lower half symbolises with the wolf and staff the local patron saint, St. Remaclus.
