English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 20, 1964.

The village was from the 13th century until 1803 a possession of the Diocese of Freising, which is symbolised by the mitra in the arms. The crosier is taken as a symbol for the Benediktbeuren Abbey, which had large possessions in the municipality until 1491, when they were sold to Freising.

The hooks refer to the transport of trees on the Isar river for many centuries.

The colours are those of Freising (red, gold) and Benediktbeuren (silver, red).
