LES CABANYES
Region : Catalonia
Province : Barcelona
Official blazon
Escut caironat: de gules, una cabanya de sable acostada de 2 creus de Malta. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on September 3, 1998.
Canting arms: they show a "cabanya" (Catalan for "hut"). There are also two silver Crosses of Malta on gules, because the village was repopulated in the 12th century by the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, that founded the Hospitaller command of Sant Valentí de les Cabanyes.
