Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 3, 1998.

Canting arms: they show a "cabanya" (Catalan for "hut"). There are also two silver Crosses of Malta on gules, because the village was repopulated in the 12^th century by the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, that founded the Hospitaller command of Sant Valentí de les Cabanyes.
