Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 28, 1995.

The municipality is characterised by the rich nature, which is symbolised by the fish and the oak leaf. The division line and the blue colour symbolise the Wipper river. The chief symbolises the medieval Arnsburg castle, which is now in ruins.
