ČAZMA

County : Bjelovar-Bilogora

Arms of Čazma

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms are of modern design and shows in a red shield on a green mount a white church with two blue roofed bell-towers between ruined yellow embattled walls and in base a blue wavy line.

The wavy line represents the river Česma (which is only a variations of the city name). The parish church of St. Mary Magdalene is a romanic church with gothic elements, being the bigest romanic based church in Croatia, baroquised in 18th century.

The fortifications seen on the arms are no longer visible today.
