Escudo de prata, um monte de três cômoros de verde, encimado por uma candeia de negro, iluminada de ouro e carregado de uma roda dentada e de um ferro de enxada, ambos de ouro e alinhados em faixa. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco, com a legenda a negro: “ VILA CHÃ – VALE DE CAMBRA “.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on February 21, 2005.
The cog wheel and the plough iron are symbols for industry and agriculture. The three mountains refer to the mountains in the region and the valley in which the municipaliuty is situated.
The lantern is a symbol for the local patron saint, Our Lady of the Lanterns (Nossa Senhora das Candeias).
