Origin/meaning
Represents the Cicumnaviagtion of the World by Captainn Stephen Courtnay in the Duchess (1708-1711) during which he rescued Alexander Selkirk (on which Robinson Crusoe was modelled). The Latin motto translates as "To be led, not dragged". The Badge was approved on 17 April 1931.
