TOLLET
State : Oberösterreich
District : Grieskirchen
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on September 18, 1989.
The rooster in the upper part of the arms is taken from the arms of Franciscus Salesius Zauner, Bishop of Linz, born in 1904 in the village of Oberwödling. The wheel in the lower part symbolises the carriage and wagon museum in Tollet, the only museum of its kind in Austria. The spokes of the wheel are shown as plough irons, which are taken from the arms of the Jörg family. The family lived for several centuries in the Tollet castle.
