Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 26, 1970.

The upper half of the arms show the arms of the State and Archdiocese of Bamberg, to which the village historically belonged. The base shows a harrow, as a symbol for the agricultural character of the region. The two stars are symbols for St. Mary, the patron saint of the village.
