Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 27, 1973.

The upper part of the arms is taken from the arms of the Lords of Issum. The deer has been used on the seals of Issum since 1664. The lower part is taken from the arms of Sevelen.

The previous arms were granted on ??-??-1937.

These arms only showed the deer.
