Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in 1904.
The arms largely refer to the Franco-Prussian War of 1870. The flames symbolise that the village was destroyed by fire, the anchor to the French marines that defended the village.
The base shows the Medal of the French Legion, awarded to the village on October 9, 1900 and refer to the heroism of the villagers during the 1870 war.
