HAIBACH IM MÜHLKREIS
State : Oberösterreich
District : Urfahr-Umgebung
Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on September 22, 1986.
The rose is taken from the important medieval Engelpoldsdorf family, who ruled the area as vassals for the Bishops of Passau. The base shows the local Devil's stone (Teufelstein), which probably was a pre-Christian religious or holy stone.
The bend refers to the many streams and rivers in the municipality.
Literature : Baumert, H.E. : Oberösterreichische Gemeindewappen, Linz, 1996.
