Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on ??-??-1924.
The arms were designed in 1923/24 by the State Archives. The chief refers to the Zavelstein estate, to which the village historically belonged. The deer is a canting element for the Hirsau (Hirsch=deer) Abbey, which also had several possessions in the municipality.
