Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on September 27, 1999.
The stars symbolize the electricity and the industries located on the territory of the municipality.
The cart recalls the traditional postman who made the connection between Wallachia and Transylvania.
The construction evokes the Bishopric of Râmnicu and the New Severin existing here.
The open book alludes to the printing house that operated in Râmnic between 1705 and 1830.
