3RD CANADIAN DIVISION TRAINING CENTRE, CANADIAN ARMY

Coat of arms (crest) of the 3rd Canadian Division Training Centre, Canadian Army

Official blazon

Bleu Céleste a stone tomahawk Argent wrapped in leather Or surmounting two bayonets in saltire Argent their handles Or, all within an annulus ensigned by the Royal Crown proper, flanked by two torches enflamed and above a sprig of three maple leaves surmounted by a scroll Or inscribed with the Motto in letters Sable.

Origin/meaning

Light grey-blue is the colour of the 3rd Canadian Division and represents the training that the 3rd Canadian Division Training Centre provides to it. The crossed bayonets, symbolic of military training, are a reference to the regular and reserve members of the Canadian Armed Forces. The stone tomahawk, a weapon used by First Nations in the Canadian west, refers to the facts that much of the unit is located on Treaty 6 land and that it has a long history of collaboration with Indigenous organizations. The Badge was approved on 15 April 2020.
