Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on August 20, 1999.
The beech tree is taken from the former arms of Wendisch Buchholz, see there. The deer is placed rather unusually, and symbolised the resistance of the people regardless fires and pillaging in previous centuries.
The deer antler refers to the forest/forestry and nature in the area. The pike refers to fishing.
