Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted on August 10, 1895.
The arms show in the upper part the wheel of the State of Mainz, to which the village historically belonged. The lower half shows a canting mountain (Berg).
Even though Rauenberg had its own court since the 17th century, the village did not use any seal or arms until the 19th century. During the 19th century the seal only showed the name. The above arms were proposed by the State Archives in 1894.
