Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on ?
The main symbol in the arms is the old linden tre ein the village, the typical landmark of Heede. The key is the symbol of St. Peter, the patron of the local church. The wheat-ear is a symbol for the agricultural character of the village. The division line symbolises the Ems river.
