Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 22, 1955.

The black pale in gold is taken from the arms of the Von Gadenstedt zu Gadenstedt family 2218a.wsa.jpg, lords of the village from 1339-1849.

The bee ('imme' in the North German dialect) is a canting element.
