  • (1930) In von Schwarz und Silber gespaltenem Schild oben ein Rebzweig mit zwei Trauben und drei Blättern in verwechselten Farben, darunter vorne eine silberne Albe, hinten ein aufrechter blauer Rost.

Origin/meaning

The new arms were officially granted on June 7, 1982 and add to the arms the five balls derived from the arms of Flehingen.

The old arms (see below) were officially granted in 1930.

Wappen von Oberderdingen

These arms are based on the 16th century seal and a coloured image from 1604. The grill is the symbol of St. Lawrence, patron saint of the village. The grape vine symbolises the importance of the viticulture for the area. The white shirt is the shirt of the Cistercian monks of the Herrenalb abbey. The local church belonged to the abbey since the 13th century.
