VALLFOGONA DE RIUCORB
Region : Catalonia
Province : Tarragona
Catalan | Escut caironat: d'or, una vall de sinople sobremuntada d'una foguera de gules. Per timbre, una corona mural de poble. |

Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on December 1, 1992.
Canting arms: they show a valley ("vall" in Catalan) and a bonfire, because the second part of the name reminds in Catalan "fogó", derived from "foc", fire; despite of this popular etymology, the name Vallfogona comes from Latin "valle fecunda", or fecund valley.
