Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on October 12, 1981.
The arms reflect the geographical situation of the municipality. The municipality is largely covered with forests and is situated within the granite mountains of the Sternwald group. This is symbolised by the pine trees and the rocks. The wavy bend is the Steinernen Mühl river.
Literature : Baumert, H.E. : Oberösterreichische Gemeindewappen, Linz, 1996.
