Origin/meaning
The arms show red lion of the County of Katzenelnbogen, to which the village historically belonged. The lower half shows a beech leaf and flowers, symbolising the mixed forests surrounding the village. The blue and silver are the colours of Hessen, as the Counts of Hessen inherited the Katzenelnbogen Estate.
