Arms : Azure, the sun in splendour Or, in base the ocean proper; on a canton argent an escutcheon gules charged with a lion passant guardant of the second.
Crest: Out of a mural crown Or an oak tree fructed proper.
Supporters: (Dexter) a figure representing Minerva habited in a robe flowing to the feet argent, supervested with a tunic purpure, zoned Or, bearing on her breast a gorget charged with Medusa's head of the last, and on her head a helmet surmounted by an owl gold, the plume argent, in her dexter hand a spear erect proper; (Sinister) a figure representing Vesta habited in a flowing robe argent, banded from the right shoulder under the left breast, the band Or, her head encircled by a golden fillet, her vest thrown back, and her exterior hand holding a torch illumined proper.
Motto: Illustrans commoda vitae
