Origin/meaning
The arms show in the 1st quarter the arms of the Occitane region and in the 4th the arms of the Gascogne region in which the municipality is situated. The tree refers to the local forests (Forêt de Bouconne and the Bois de Lartus).
As the village is situated on a main track of the road to Santiago de Compostela, the scallop of St. James and the pilgrim's staff are added to the arms.
